പാലേരി: പാലേരിയില്‍ വീടിനു തീപ്പിടിച്ച് വന്‍ നാശനഷ്ടം. പാലേരി ഇടിവെട്ടി റോഡില്‍ താന്നിയോട് ഗിരീഷിന്റെ വീടാണ് ഇന്ന് പുലര്‍ച്ചെ മൂന്നു മണിയോടെ കത്തി നശിച്ചത്. അടുക്കളയിലെ ഫ്രിഡ്ജില്‍ നിന്നും ഷോര്‍ട്ട് സര്‍ക്യൂട്ട് മൂലമാണ് തീപ്പിടിച്ചത് എന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം.

തീപിടിത്തത്തില്‍ അടുക്കള ഭാഗം പൂര്‍ണമായും കത്തി നശിച്ചു. ഗിരീഷും കുടുംബവും താഴെ നിര്‍മാണത്തിലിരിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടിലേക്ക് ഒരാഴ്ച മുമ്പ് താല്‍ക്കാലികമായി താമസം മാറിയിരുന്നു. അതിനാല്‍ വലിയ അപകടമാണ് ഒഴിവായത്. വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞ് ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ പേരാമ്പ്ര അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേന സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി തീ നിയന്ത്രണവിധേയമാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

വീട്ടിനുള്ളില്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ഫ്രിഡ്ജ്, ടി.വി ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ഗൃഹോപകരണങ്ങള്‍ കത്തിനശിച്ചു. പുതുതായി വീട് നിര്‍മിക്കുന്നതിനായി കരുതിവെച്ചിരുന്ന മരങ്ങള്‍, വയറിംഗ് സാമഗ്രികള്‍, പുസ്തകങ്ങള്‍, ആധാരം, റേഷന്‍ കാര്‍ഡ്, ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡ്, കുട്ടികളുടെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ രേഖകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയും കത്തിനശിച്ചു. ഏകദേശം എട്ട് ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ നഷ്ടം കണക്കാക്കുന്നു.

A tiled house of Thanniyode Girish at Idivetti Road, Paleri, caught fire around 3 am today causing heavy loss, locals said. Kitchen portion was fully gutted. Primary assumption is short circuit from fridge in kitchen, locals said. Girish and family had shifted to under-construction house below a week ago, so major disaster was averted. Perambra Fire Force doused fire. Fridge, TV, wood and wiring materials kept for new house construction, books, land deed, ration card, Aadhaar and children's education certificates were destroyed. Primary loss estimated at Rs 8 lakh.
